New to the Blog…

"LOVE"…
The genealogy of Jesus is love on display. The inclusion of women in the Matthew 1 record demonstrates God’s heart for all people, specifically those marginalized and oppressed.
Although not listed specifically by name, Leah, as the mother of Judah, is in the genealogy of Jesus.
Leah’s story reveals God’s love, kindness, and tender care.

Let's talk about tips for the new year (what your medical provider wants you to know)...
The start of a new year brings with it a desire to reset. We tend to evaluate our past year and measure our success. I am not sure I agree with "New Year Resolutions" but the new year can be a fresh start. Let's talk about it!
First, remember your true worth is found is whose you are. You are a child of the God Most High, a daughter of the King. You do not need a scale, a mirror, goal accomplishment, or others to give you value.
Your body is a gift from God. Health is a gift from God. Honor him with how you use it, take care of it, and think of it.
Small, consistent changes lead to success. Just as you introduce one food item at a time to your 6 month-old child, you should make one small change at a time. This will help you stay consistent. This will allow you to see what works.
Think long-game. Don't be discourage and quit two weeks in because nothing has changed. It more than likely won't change quickly. You cannot see or measure progress like this. Keep your eye on the 3 month progress, the 6 month progress, the one year progress.
Trust the process. Healthy choices lead to a healthy life.
Slow and steady wins the race.
Start somewhere. Start with just one thing. It can be the smallest of things. Do it consistently. Just start.

But GOD!
Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:25-26
Happy New Year!
